Founded and directed by Carlos Kamizele – Congolese choreographer raised in Italy – this is dance theatre that hits you in the gut before it reaches your head.

On stage, six dancers, children of two worlds, telling their own story unfiltered.
Afro dance, Hip Hop, urban dance blended in ways you’ve never seen before.

And the music? They create it themselves, on stage, with their own bodies.

Who is Carlos Kamizele

Born in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), he arrived in Italy at the age of 7, started dancing at 14, and went on to win 99% of the contests he entered.

At The Week, he’s truly at home – he was there at the very first Give It Up battles, even before the festival existed, and over the years has built a track record that very few can match.
A six-time Give It Up winner: Hip Hop 2vs2 in 2006, Popping 1vs1 in 2007, Hip Hop 2vs2 again in 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2014.
With his crew The Mnai’s he won the Street Fighter World Tour in 2009, 2010 and 2012, plus Best Show in 2012 and 2014.
He later returned to The Week on the other side.. first as a guest teacher of Afro, then in 2019 and 2021 as a judge of the Hip Hop category at the Give It Up, one of the first Italians ever to hold that role!
Cesenatico knows him, respects him, and always welcomes him back.

Co-founder of KC Academy in Bologna, one of the most respected urban dance academies in Italy, he is today a choreographer for artists of the calibre of Marracash, Ghali, Emma, Tiziano Ferro and many more..

With Descendants, he brings to the stage his story.. and the story of an entire generation.
